A separate copy of important information
Complior's backup service includes storage in Swedish data centres, with a copy separated from the production environment. The systems, data and versions covered are determined by business needs.
Protection against modification and deletion, such as immutability, needs to be described alongside permissions and retention periods. It does not replace a well-planned recovery strategy.
Backup for Microsoft 365
The service can also provide a separate copy of information from Microsoft 365, such as email, Teams and SharePoint, outside Microsoft's environment. Check which data types and recovery methods are included in the specific solution.
Microsoft's built-in availability, version history and recovery features need to be compared with your requirements. An external backup is a complement with its own permissions, dependencies and costs.
Set objectives and test restoration
RPO describes how much data the organisation can accept losing, expressed as a period of time. RTO describes the target for how quickly the service needs to be restored. These objectives help you choose intervals, technology and procedures.
Complior describes restore testing as part of its backup work. The scope and frequency of testing must be agreed as part of the service. Follow up whether data, applications and necessary keys can actually be used after recovery.
Define the service clearly

- How are backup copies and administrator permissions separated from production?
- Who requests, carries out and approves a recovery?
- Which monitoring, support and testing are included in the agreement?
